Private Ski Teacher Zermatt

1 General provisions
1.1 Scope of application
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all offers and activities between Private Ski Teacher Zermatt on the one hand and the customer (hereinafter referred to as the Customer) on the other.

​

1.2 Prices
All prices are quoted in Swiss francs and include the relevant statutory taxes. Private Ski Teacher Zermatt reserves the right to change prices or technical specifications.

1.3 Means of payment
Private Ski Teacher Zermatt accepts the following means of payment: credit cards: Mastercard, Visa and American Express; Maestro card, VISA Electron and Twint.


2. Private Ski Teacher Zermatt

2.1 Business area
Private Ski Teacher Zermatt operates a snow sports school that offers ski and snowboard lessons to adults and children of all ages, in private and group lessons, as well as guiding.

2.2 Booking
The customer can book lessons and guiding directly via the website https://www.privateskiteacher.ch.

 

2.3 Conclusion of contract
The booking of lessons or guiding is binding for the customer as soon as Private Ski Teacher Zermatt confirms the reservation to the customer by e-mail.With each booking, the full amount is received in advance. 
This serves on the one hand to guarantee the booking and on the other hand to keep the processes lean. The booking is only considered confirmed once payment has been received.
With each booking, the customer accepts the General Terms and Conditions of Private Ski Teacher Zermatt.

2.4 Lift ticket
The lift ticket is not included in the price of the lesson.

2.5 Material and equipment
Material and equipment are not included in the price of the lesson.

All material and equipment can be hired from local sports shops.

 

2.6 Insurance and liability

Insurance (health and accident insurance including sports accidents) is the responsibility of the participant. We recommend taking out cancellation costs and return transport insurance.

Private Ski Teacher Zermatt accepts no liability for accidents and damage to persons, equipment, infrastructure or third parties.
Claims for damages due to errors in illustrations, prices and texts are strictly excluded.


2.7 Lessons
2.7.1 Beginner lessons
Beginner ski and snowboard lessons are organised with a minimum of 1 person and a maximum of 2 persons. The number of participants must be specified when booking. Beginners' lessons take place daily from 10:00 - 12:00 (2 hours) in the Wolli Park on Sunnegga, subject to the availability of instructors from Private Ski Teacher Zermatt. Private Ski Teacher Zermatt always endeavours to find the best possible solution for the customer. Bookings can only be made directly via the website https://www.privateskiteacher.ch. With corresponding advance payment.
 

2.7.2 Private lessons
Private lessons are personalised for the client, accompanied by family and/or friends up to a maximum of 8 people. Private Ski Teacher Zermatt therefore guarantees an unforgettable experience for the customer and individual needs can be better catered for. No external persons will be present during this private lesson. Private lessons can be booked on a daily basis for one or more consecutive days. Bookings can only be made directly via the website https://www.privateskiteacher.ch with the corresponding advance payment. Private Ski Teacher Zermatt will allocate the instructor responsible. The customer's preferences will be taken into account as far as possible. Private Ski Teacher Zermatt reserves the right to change the instructor if operational reasons make this necessary. Private lessons take place daily from 09:00 - 15:30. The meeting and starting point can be chosen by the customer for the first day. Meeting and starting points are

  • Matterhorn Express valley station

  • Entrance to the Sunnegga-Rothorn cable car valley station

  • Gornergrat railway entrance

The meeting point for the next day is determined and agreed at the end of the day.

For the transfer from the accommodation to the agreed meeting and starting point, we recommend the local buses or a taxi.

 

2.7.3 Realisation
Private Ski Teacher Zermatt reserves the right to cancel or interrupt lessons if natural/weather conditions or other circumstances (such as force majeure, official measures, closure of the cable cars and/or lifts) make this necessary. In such a case, the customer is entitled to make up for the lesson(s) that could not be held. A refund for lessons that could not be held will be considered on a case-by-case basis if it is not possible to make up for them during the stay in Zermatt or at another time.

2.8 Guarantee
The instructor defines the content of the lessons, the learning steps and the desired learning success together with the customer. This depends on the customer's previous knowledge and abilities. Private Ski Teacher Zermatt cannot guarantee any specific learning success.

 

2.9 Cancellation
A confirmed booking must be cancelled by the customer on the website https://www.privateskiteacher.ch at least 5 days before the first booked lesson in order to avoid any costs. In the event of cancellation between 5 days and 3 days before the first booked lesson, the customer will be refunded 50% of the booking price paid. If the customer cancels their booking within 72 hours before the first booked lesson, does not start a lesson, is more than 30 minutes late or a lesson that has started has to be interrupted for reasons for which the customer is responsible, the customer must pay for these lessons in full.

 

2.10 Refunds

Cancellations and rebookings are possible free of charge up to 5 days before the start of the course in accordance with the guidelines of Private Ski Teacher Zermatt. For cancellations from 5 days to 72 hours before the start of the course, 50% of the reservation price paid will be charged. For cancellations within 72 days before the start of the course, 100% of the reservation price paid will be charged. Changes to bookings are no longer possible from 5 days before the start of the first booked lesson. Short-term bookings up to 24 hours before the start of the course can neither be cancelled nor rebooked.

In the event of a no-show with a delay of more than 30 minutes or if a lesson that has started is cancelled for reasons for which the customer is responsible, the customer must pay for these lessons in full. 100% of the course costs paid will be charged.

2.10.1 Full refund
Private Ski Teacher Zermatt will refund the customer in full for lessons paid for but not received in the form of additional lessons, or if the lesson cannot be made up, a refund will be considered:
a) in the event of proper cancellation (see Article 2.7);
b) in the event of cancellation due to accident or illness on presentation of a medical certificate from a local doctor. The medical certificate must be submitted to Private Ski Teacher Zermatt before the first agreed lesson, but at the latest immediately after receipt. The booked lessons must be duly cancelled. In the event of late submission of medical certificates and cancellation, the no-show policy in accordance with Article 2.9/2.10 applies to the missed lesson

 

2.10.2 Partial refund
In the event of cancellation by Private Ski Teacher Zermatt (see Article 2.7.3), the customer will be refunded the lessons paid for but not received after deduction of a 20% processing fee, up to a maximum of CHF 500.00.

 

2.10.3 No refund
In the following cases there will be no refund of paid lessons:

In the event of non-regular cancellation (see Article 2.9);

for the reasons listed, which are the responsibility of the customer (see Article 2.9).


2.10.4 Refund
Refunds will be made to the means of payment used at the time of booking.

 

2.11 Liability
Private Ski Teacher Zermatt accepts no liability for accidents during lessons. It is the customer's responsibility to take out appropriate insurance.

3. Final provisions
3.1 Compensation for damages
Claims for damages due to deviating illustrations or errors in the labelling of prices or texts are excluded.

3.2 Changes
Private Ski Teacher Zermatt reserves the right to amend these GTCs at any time. The currently valid GTCs apply to the customer at all times.

3.3 Data protection
The privacy policy of Private Ski Teacher Zermatt is an integral part of these GTCs. It can be viewed here: https://privateskiteacher.ch/en/agb.

3.4 Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
The place of fulfilment for the agreed services is Zermatt. The legal relationship between Private Ski Teacher Zermatt and the customer is governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Zermatt.

Subscription to our newsletter
Subscribers to our newsletter receive information about new services and special offers.
Only basic personal data such as your name and e-mail address are required for registration.For verification purposes, we will send you a confirmation e-mail immediately after completing the registration process.During this process, we may also store your IP address and the date and time of registration.The personal data collected as part of your registration will be used to send you our newsletter. Booking requests
You are obliged to provide us with certain personal data if you wish to book ski, snowboard or telemark courses or receive other personalized services or products from us.
This personal data includes in particular your name, your contact details and, if applicable, your date of birth, your gender or your preferred language.

We may also collect particularly sensitive personal data (e.g. health-related data) if you provide us with such information (e.g. in the context of dietary restrictions).We may also collect personal data from third parties that you provide to us.It is your sole responsibility to obtain the consent of these third parties, insofar as this is necessary for the disclosure of their personal data to us.Please also refer to our respective forms for the type of personal data you must provide us with (booking request form, etc.). 
We may forward your data to our ski or snowboard instructors and, if necessary, contact your hotel to get in touch with you.
 

Feedback

Your satisfaction is very important to us.
We invite you to give us your feedback via our feedback form offline or on our website.

You will be asked to provide a limited amount of personal information such as your name and contact details. 
We might forward your feedback to the person you are referring to, contact you after your feedback and mention your feedback on our website in an anonymized form.

You can use a contact form if it is made available on our website.
If you use the contact form, you will be asked to provide a limited amount of personal data such as your name, e-mail address, telephone number and the message you wish to send us.

We receive a number of different types of information that you and Instagram API provide to us when you create and use our widgets or website. We do not store Instagram images and videos on our data servers. We only need their URLs. Images in our widgets come directly from Instagram.

 

YouTube-Plugins

Among other things, our website uses the provider YouTube to integrate videos. YouTube is operated by YouTube LLC, headquartered at 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.
